With this year’s campaign, we wanted colour to shine through but most importantly we wanted an important message to get through – Embrace the Bold, Colourful You.

We feel that we need to stop stereotyping and we should all embrace ourselves in our differences and feel comfortable in our skin.  We should all work on enhancing our different colourful character facets without being scared of not conforming.  In our industry, we are inundated with beautiful images, bloggers and influencers through all the social media platforms where unfortunately filters are sometimes encouraged.  While these videos are inspiring and a work of art, we feel that they do not pass the right message and can create more complexes to viewers who would already not feel comfortable with the way they look, sometimes leading to extreme pressures and measures.

It is only when we will truly embrace our uniqueness and improve on it that we will be able to be truly happy with ourselves and thus be able to live a better life.

THE NEW TRUSSARDI DONNA PINK MARINA EDT

It is the perfect moment of a day at the beach, when the sand is warm but not scorching hot and the sun is about to set, slowing sinking into the sea. One notes different aromas of fruit, flowers and fragrant woods in the light breeze arriving by land. A gust of wind from the sea with its distinctive scent is suddenly added to this pleasant balance. Everything turns pink and muted while the waves gently lap up against the shore. It seems to be an enchanted place like Budelli Beach on the Maddalena archipelago, world-famous for its pink sand, or the beach of Frati Bay on Elba Island composed of tiny white stones that change color in the sun.

Pink Marina, the new women’s EDT by Trussardi Parfums, is dedicated to this special moment. Nathalie Lorson of Firmenich has created an olfactory memoir in which the zestful notes of pink grapefruit blend with the fresh, addictive notes of cantaloupe sorbet and the sparkling energy of lemon juice.  This initial luminous freshness is joined by a novel accord: a refined and well-balanced blend of neroli, sand lily and sea salt. The circle closes with a sensual and creamy conclusion of sandalwood and cedarwood with patchouli.

The Pink Marina bottle is made of white glass with pink stripes that allude to patterns on the sand formed by the wind. The square bottle with beveled edges has aluminum trim on two sides in the same shade of pink as the zamak cap circled by a grosgrain ribbon. The glossy white cardboard box with pink stripes has a quadrangular shape and features silver lettering.

The visual campaign presents the bottle on a beach of white sand with pink nuances in front of a large stylized pink wave that brings to mind the spirals of a modern art installation and also evokes sinuous, delicate femininity.

Are you aspiring to become a professional makeup artist/ do you have a basic knowledge about makeup? If so this is the first step to embark in this creative industry, and brush up on this knowledge. During this course you will learn and master in detail on an extensive syllabus, from safety and hygiene to colour harmonies, contouring, fashion makeup, commercial, bridal and many more. Throughout this course students will get both a theory and practical session for every topic. Your tutor for this advanced makeup course, Claire, has ample experience in this field and is the Franks official trainer. This advanced makeup course will give you deeper insight on the skills and techniques to become a professional makeup artist. Throughout this course you will work with a vast range of prestigious makeup brands.

Students will be given a full set of professional makeup brushes on commencement day. On the first day of the course students are given out a starter kit with a variety of makeup products from different brands.

This course includes a discount card valid for one year at FRANKS and Lucy Makeup store. Towards the end of the course, students will have a photoshoot with a professional photographer to kick start their professional make-up portfolio.

About Claire

Claire started her career as a beauty therapist. After graduating, she started her career as a beauty consultant at FRANKS. She started doing makeup, both as freelance as well as beauty, fashion and TV, photo shoots and commercial. For the past 10 years she took on the role of a trainer, where she represents Malta as the official ambassador of prestigious brands, such as Dior. Apart from training the local beauty consultants she teaches the newly recruited FRANKS beauty consultants on sales techniques and product knowledge. Claire is in charge also in giving short courses for clients who are interested in applying makeup on themselves. Claire had the opportunity to extend her knowledge in makeup artistry by getting qualified at the Academy of Freelance Makeup in London.

Pepe Jeans London has been at the forefront of international denim-led fashion for the past 45 years. Few fashion brands can claim the same level of international success.

The denim pioneer began life as a small market trader on London’s Portobello Road where Nitin Shah, along with his two brothers, Arun and Milan, began customising jeans at the weekends.  Despite its humble roots, the brand’s vision was clear from the outset: to create the most exciting denim-led fashion on the planet. It was a vision that didn’t go unnoticed, and the label quickly became the talk of the town among London’s fashion set.

By 1975, the number of market shops had grown to four and the first boutique had opened on the King´s Road. Pepe Jeans London went on to expand rapidly in the UK in a market dominated by major US brands. This success can be attributed to the company’s ability to outdo the competition in terms of good design, quality fabrics and variety of finishes.

Throughout the early Eighties, Pepe Jeans London was in the ascendant, becoming one of the biggest denim brands in the UK and revolutionising tradeshows by creating exciting themed stands.

It was at this time that many of the brand’s iconic items were developed: the triangular ‘Pepe’ logo, the keyring and pinstripe denim. The keyring in particular caused frantic bartering, haggling and hysteria in colleges, shops and youth clubs, and became quite the original collectable.

The beginning of the Eighties also saw the brand expand into European markets: the Netherlands, France, Italy, Germany, Spain and Switzerland. It was a move that was consolidated during the Nineties. By the start of the new millennium, Pepe Jeans London had confirmed its reputation as one of the hottest brands in the denim market. Most recently, Pepe Jeans London has turned its focus to the emerging territories of Latin America and Asia.

Today, Pepe Jeans London trades in over 60 countries, sells through more than 5,600 stockists and has over 373 own-brand stores. All 2,500-plus of its employees will happily confirm that the brand remains devoted to its initial mantra ‒ to create the most exciting denim-led fashion on the planet.
